Case · AI training

A stalled rollout restarted with the people already interested.

AI Training Program, more than six months. Forty people, from senior leadership to the design, sales and product teams, with bilingual materials.

Consumer-Electronics Retailer — Asia-Pacific

AI Training Program · International purchasing and logistics office · 40 people · More than six months

Situation

Leadership had already introduced AI tools and adoption had stalled. Resistance was open: too hard, what is the point, fear of job loss. The office ran on tools it already licensed, and nobody had shown the teams how those tools fit the work in front of them.

Approach

Assessed each person individually, designed the curriculum, built workflows and prompt libraries, and delivered the training with bilingual materials across the tools the office already licensed (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). Worked with the head of the office and the people already interested, who shared their wins with colleagues. Workflows stayed inside existing confidentiality rules, on approved tools and accounts only.

Outcome

Forty people trained over more than six months, from senior leadership to the design, sales and product teams. Staff who had been afraid of the tools were using them and said the tools gave them time back.

Takeaway A stalled rollout is a people problem before it is a tool problem. Start with the people already interested.
